On 5 January 2024, the Refectory Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra hosted a concert of Christmas songs performed by musicians of the Presidential Orchestra led by conductor-colonel Maksym Husak, reports the press service of the Ministry of Culture.

People's Artists of Ukraine Lesia and Halyna Telniuks sang in the temple, where dozens of AFU servicemen gathered.

The event was also attended by the Director of the Reserve "Kyiv-Pecherska Lavra" Maksym Ostapenko, OCU chaplain and paramedic of the AFU Yulia Paevska ("Taira"), who was "baptised" at St. Michael's Cathedral of the OCU in the summer of 2022.

According to Ostapenko, "every Ukrainian who defends our land can find refuge and spiritual restoration" in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

"Each of you is defending our people, fighting for the preservation of our cities and shrines, in particular the Lavra. This monument is almost a thousand years old, and it remains the foundation of our state," said the Director of the Reserve, addressing the military present at the concert.

As reported, the Ministry of Culture held a performance in the Great Bell Tower of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
