The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal said at a briefing on March 4 that he allows priests to advance in the queue for vaccination against coronavirus due to their contacts with a large number of people and the fact that the priests themselves can infect many.
According to the official, this idea was discussed at a meeting with the AUCCRO. “At a meeting with the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, the idea was to move the clergy higher in stages, because they have high contact with people and can be super-distributors,” Shmyhal said.
At the same time, all changes in the sequence of vaccination will first be discussed in the Ministry of Health, and then they will be included in the corresponding orders of the Cabinet.
As the UOJ reported, Shmyhal said that Ukraine will join the discussion on COVID passports.
