On January 15, 2024, the Northwestern Appeals Court affirmed the decision of the Economic Court of the Zhytomyr Region, obliging the UOC to surrender the Chervone Convent in honor of the Nativity of Christ to the state in the Zhytomyr region. This information was reported by the Ministry of Culture's press service.

They noted that the Ministry of Culture acted as a third party during this process because it "consistently fights for the return to state ownership of Ukrainian historical heritage."

The Chervone nunnery in honor of the Nativity of Christ is located on the territory of the Tereshchenko Palace and is a unique monument of history and architecture in the Zhytomyr region.

As reported by the UOJ, the Supreme Court ordered the UOC to transfer the St. Michael Cathedral to the Kremenets Reserve.
