Andriy Yurash meets with Archbishop Stephen of Ohrid in the Vatican

During his visit to Rome, Archbishop Stephen of the Macedonian Orthodox Church met with Ukraine's Ambassador to the Vatican, Andriy Yurash.

On February 26, 2024, in Rome, Archbishop Stephen met with Cardinal Kurt Koch, the head of the Pontifical Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity. On the same day, he met with Andriy Yurash.

According to Macedonian media reports, Yurash "was a guest at all important public events of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, including the service at the tomb of Saint Cyril, which is an exceptional gesture of respect towards Macedonia and the Macedonian Orthodox Church."

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Macedonian Church had established a commission to study the status of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU).
