People's Deputy from the "Servant of the People" party, Mykyta Poturaev, stated that priests and parishioners of the UOC would be able to remain in their temples only if the UOC "becomes like the UOC KP, which was not recognized for almost 30 years." The head of the parliamentary humanitarian committee said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.

According to him, "believers of the UOC are not hindered from breaking ties with the ROC and remaining in their temples, but not to be at the same time mouthpieces of Moscow propaganda, collaborators, and state traitors spreading subversive information or cooperating with the enemy."

As the UOJ reported, the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada approved a bill on the UOC for adoption in the second reading.
