The court rejected the prosecutor's request to remand Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv to pre-trial detention on March 14. This information was reported by the Telegram channel of the Cherkasy Diocese.
After the hearing, the bishop addressed the believers who came to support him, informing them that the court had imposed nighttime house arrest as a measure of restraint.
The hierarch is allowed to continue conducting religious services, delivering sermons, and meeting with the congregation.
Metropolitan Theodosiy expressed gratitude to God and all the believers of the UOC for their prayers.
As reported by the UOJ, a court session is underway regarding the determination of precautionary measures for Father Sergiy Chertylin.
