During the court session, the priest of the UOC told about his priest friend who is now in occupation, reports the lawyer. According to Archpriest Sergiy, the priest, who is now in the occupation zone and does not commemorate the Patriarch, is being coerced to do so by the FSB. Archpriest Sergiy would like that priest not to be afraid to come to Ukraine, that in Ukraine it is possible to defend himself in a democratic way.
"And you know, I want to show him that in our country we can defend ourselves in a democratic way," Archpriest Sergiy said, "so that he would still come here and not be afraid that he would be sued here, that he would be called a traitor, a Moscow collaborator. I want him to come here and see his friend. Yes, he will see his friend under investigation, but a democratic investigation, where everything is taken into account, where there will be no such applications that I am the head of organizations that I have never been."
The priest also expressed his indignation that he is prescribed something he has never done.
Earlier the UOJ wrote that the court left Father Sergiy Chertylin in custody for two months.
