Primate of UOC prays for the repose of Bulgarian Patriarch

On March 17, 2024, after the Divine Liturgy at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine performed a litia service for the repose of the soul of His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria, the Information and Educational Department of the UOC reports.

Together with the Primate, hierarchs of the UOC, the clergy of the Lavra, and all those present at the service prayed for the repose of the soul of the newly reposed hierarch.

After the dismissal, His Beatitude shared his memories of the deceased Primate of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church with the parishioners of the Lavra.

His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte passed away to the Lord on March 13.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry expressed condolences on the passing of the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte.
