On March 29, 2024, a year has passed since the beginning of prayer vigils near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Believers come to their sanctuary every day. A parishioner of the Lavra shared her feelings and called for further unity in prayer.
"I am glad that their intentions did not come true (those who are trying to evict the monks from the Lavra – Ed.). I feel a spiritual victory, I congratulate everyone and wish that we continue to unite in prayer," said the UOC believer.
She is convinced that the Orthodox prayer of people is strong, so with its help, believers will achieve final spiritual victory.
The prayer standing begins every day at 16:00. UOC priests also call on believers to come together for collective prayer at the universal Orthodox shrine.
As reported by the UOJ, March 29, 2024 marked a year since the beginning of the prayer standing for the Lavra – memories of what it was like are being shared online.
