On May 2, the OCU met the Holy Fire, delivered with the assistance of "Nova Poshta", at St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral.

“The fire was delivered to the Cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine on a scheduled airline by believers and people of goodwill with the assistance of the ‘Nova Poshta Global’ company,” reports the schismatic structure's website.

As “Archbishop” Agapit Gumeniuk specified, two OCU believers brought the Holy Fire from Jerusalem to Kyiv.

As reported earlier, on May 1, the official delegation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church delivered to Ukraine a lamp with the Holy Fire, which Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem gave as a blessing among the canonical Orthodox Churches.

The UOJ also wrote that the OCU does not believe that the Holy Fire descends miraculously.
