President of the United States Joe Biden named the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew his great friend and a great man.

In his speech at the White House during the annual reception on the occasion of Greek Independence Day, Joe Biden recounted that he would tour "the whole country and the whole world, including Greece" with Patriarch Bartholomew.

"And more than once I visited the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who is a great friend and a great man," emphasized the President of the United States.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that, according to a cleric of the Phanar, Joe Biden likens Patriarch Bartholomew to Christ.
