The head of the legal firm Amsterdam & Partners LLP, American lawyer Robert Amsterdam, wrote on the social network X that Western journalists are silent on the persecution of the UOC in Ukraine.

"Choosing to believe the ultra-nationalist narrative they refuse to cover the beatings of Priests and thefts of Churches that are today commonplace in Ukraine. Nor do they stand up for Orthodox journalists who face life imprisonment," he said.

As reported by the UOJ, Metropolitan Theodosiy and Robert Amsterdam discussed practical issues of international legal protection of believers in Ukraine and the interaction of human rights defenders in this field.
