A new free course is helping Orthodox parishes unite through Inter-Parish Associations.

NEW YORK — The Inter-Parish Associations ministry has released a new free mini-course aimed at helping Orthodox parishes strengthen cooperation and expand their shared ministries. Titled “From Vision to Ministry: A Practical Path to Building Inter-Parish Associations,” the program provides step-by-step guidance for communities seeking to form or grow local Inter-Parish Associations (IPAs).

The course, part of the “Synergy Pathway,” is designed to walk participants through the process of building connections between parishes, fostering collaboration, and developing a unified Orthodox witness. Its curriculum spans six modules, covering topics from initial orientation and relationship-building to long-term sustainability and outreach within local communities.

Inter-Parish Associations bring together clergy and laity from multiple jurisdictions within a specific area to promote communication, cooperation, and shared mission. By breaking down barriers between parishes, the initiative seeks to strengthen Orthodox unity and enhance the Church’s presence in society through coordinated ministry efforts.

Enrollment is free. Learn more about IPAs here. In the coming weeks, the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops will highlight several hierarchs on its YouTube channel as they share their vision and experiences of Pan-Orthodoxy, along with how the IPA ministry can support communities in strengthening inter-jurisdictional collaboration.

Previously, the UOJ reported that the 14th meeting of the Assembly of Canonical Bishops concluded in Colorado.
