First meeting of this year's Holy Synod of UOC begins in Feofania

On April 10, 2024, a meeting of the Holy Synod of the UOC began in the residence of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the territory of the Panteleimon Monastery in Feofania, according to the Synodal Information and Education Department.

The session is chaired by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine.

During the Synod's work, the hierarchs will consider issues of church life.

Before the session, the Primate and other hierarchs of the UOC prayed at the Divine Liturgy in the temple in honor of All Saints. The Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts was performed by the permanent member of the Holy Synod, the head of the Information and Education Department of the UOC, Metropolitan Clment of Nizhyn and Pryluky.

During the Great Ectenia, the hierarchs offered prayers for peace in Ukraine, for its people, authorities, and armed forces, for those affected by the war, and for those who help the needy.

The previous session of the Holy Synod of the UOC took place at the Panteleimon Monastery in Feofania on December 26, 2023.
