April 15, 2024, American lawyer for the UOC, Robert Amsterdam, commented on the inconsistent actions of the Ukrainian authorities regarding the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on his X (formerly Twitter).
"The fact that in the middle of pleas for western help, which are totally justified, the Government of Ukraine tries to steal more Churches and ban the UOC is beyond belief!! They are literally sending to DC a delegation to whitewash criminal conduct and pretend religious tolerance," the human rights activist wrote.
As reported by the UOJ, Poturaev suggested sending a delegation to the US to lobby for the ban on the UOC.
