On April 26, 2024, a priest of the UOC, who led the prayer near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, addressed the believers with words of encouragement.

"Our prayer has great significance and great power, although we may seem few, but with us are the Mother of God, Christ the Savior Himself, the Venerable Fathers of the Pechersk Lavra, and we know that God can do all things, and He holds everything in His power and in His hands," he said.

According to the clergyman, the task of every Christian is "to be faithful to the Lord, and He will provide what is necessary for our life and salvation."

"The Lord will never abandon us, and the Mother of God will always cover us with her protection from all evil. In this our faith is Orthodox," the priest noted. "Let Our Lady, who usually resides in this Holy Lavra, cover with her omophorion our Holy Ukrainian Orthodox Church, our suffering Ukrainian people, our families, our city, and our Ukraine."

At the end of the prayerful vigil, believers were traditionally anointed with holy oil.

As reported by the UOJ, earlier the priest of the UOC told the believers during the prayer standing that we are all called to holiness.
