"The Volodymyr-Olha Church of the Tithe Monastery continues to stand, monks continue to pray, but hostile forces do not retreat and try to disrupt this prayer," said the lawyer of the UOC, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, in his video commentary on the situation surrounding the shrine on May 7.

Although, according to him, today, by God's grace, there was no iniquity, the authorities intend, if they cannot demolish the church, to transfer it to the 'Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra' Reserve for storage for possible subsequent transfer to the OCU.

"Now the lawyers have filed all possible statements and complaints to the court and law enforcement agencies," the lawyer noted. "We ask you, dear brothers and sisters, for holy prayers and support. We plead God to preserve our shrine."

As the UOJ reported, on the morning of May 7, the scheduled demolition of the Tithe Church did not take place. Documents were published in the media stating the postponement of the demolition date because the construction company "will not be able to carry out the work" due to the absence of the necessary equipment on the specified date.
