Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova stated that she proposed to Ukraine to exchange two captive Catholic priests for two Orthodox priests who are under arrest, reports Interfax.

"But Ukraine, for absolutely unclear reasons, did not agree to such an exchange," she said.

Moskalkova mentioned that she visited Ukrainian Catholic priests, and they themselves asked her for an exchange in order to have the opportunity to see their relatives and loved ones as soon as possible. She noted that the conditions of detention for the priests comply with international norms.

As reported by the UOJ, the Public Organization of Relatives of Prisoners of War "Olenivka Community" calls on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other government representatives to exchange their relatives for "enemy agents", including the abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel (Lebed).
