The Vatican warns Ukraine against striking Russia with NATO weapons

The Secretary of State of the Vatican, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, expressed opposition to authorizing the use of NATO-supplied weapons by Ukraine in Russian territory, ANSA reports.
"I think this possibility must worry all those who have the fate of our world at heart. This could entail an escalation that no one will be able to control any longer," Parolin stated.
"It's a very disquieting prospect," he concluded.
The Vatican voiced its opinion regarding the go-ahead to strike Russia after some European states openly declared their support for such a position, with the United States and Germany being, nevertheless, against it.
As reported by the UOJ, the Secretary of State of the Vatican, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, confirmed the participation of representatives of the Roman Catholic Church in the "Global Peace Summit", which will take place in Switzerland on June 15-16.
