On June 2, 2024, at the Ascension Bancheny Monastery, a delegation from the Orthodox Church in America headed by His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon and members of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry discussed the development of Orthodox mission both in Ukraine and on the American continent. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

It is noted that the American guests shared their impressions of the divine services and familiarized themselves with the scale of social activities carried out by both the Chernivtsi Diocese and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church as a whole.

Metropolitan Tikhon spoke about the results of fundraising efforts in the temples of the Orthodox Church in America for the needs of church humanitarian missions in Ukraine, which amounted to over two million US dollars and became the largest in the history of this Church.

As reported by the UOJ, the Primates of the Orthodox Church in America and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Bancheny.
