On June 3, when, according to the decree of the Ministry of Culture, the inspection of the Pochaiv Lavra was supposed to begin, the Primate of the American Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Tikhon, is being greeted at the Orthodox sanctuary. As reported by the Myriany Telegram channel, the work of the commission has been postponed because of this event.
"Technically, it (the commission's inspection, – Ed.) has already begun, it was also written in social networks that they had already seen it, but according to the information verified by us, in fact, their inspection cannot start in full due to the fact that today the leaders of the Ukrainian and American Orthodox Churches are meeting at the Pochaiv Lavra," the message says.
However, the organization urges to double prayers.
As the UOJ wrote, on May 24, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy issued a decree, according to which the commission will inspect "the condition of the preservation of the immovable property of the reserve" from June 3 to 29.
