Kyivpride: We can hold a gay parade in the subway without KSCA's permission

KyivPride 2024 can take place in the subway in one form or another and without the official approval of the KSCA or the Kyiv Metro, said the organizers of the march in response to the statements of the capital's mayor's office that they did not give permission to hold an LGBT parade in the subway.
“NGO ‘KyivPride’ appealed to the Kyiv City Military Administration on May 16 with a proposal to organize a meeting and agree on various options for holding the March. Unfortunately, as of today, no such meeting has taken place. We are concerned that the communication with the city authorities has gone public and acquired an emotional coloring,” wrote the organization.
As reported by the UOJ, the KSCA said that in the case of an LGBT march in another location in the city, the organizers would be personally responsible for safety.
