Head of Czech Church to UOC Primate on Name Day: Your life is an example

On June 25, 2024, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, His Beatitude Metropolitan Rastislav, congratulated His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine on his Name Day, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.

"I sincerely congratulate you on the day of the memory of your heavenly patron, St. Onuphrius the Great!" wrote the Head of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia. "The labors of this remarkable ascetic are a measure of your monastic and archpastoral endeavors, and with true monastic patience, diligence, and humility, you bear the Cross of the Primate, showing a truly Christian example of attitude towards the 'sea of life, raised by the storm of trials.'"

On this day of prayerful joy, His Beatitude Rastislav wished His Beatitude fortitude and God's help in his labors.

"May the All-Merciful Lord protect you and the flock entrusted to you in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church with His blessings through the prayers of our Venerable Father Onuphrius the Great and all the Saints!" the congratulatory message reads.

As the UOJ reported, the Primate of the UOC spoke about how a person's soul gives birth to good thoughts and words.
