UOC priests participate in celebrations at Romanian Putna Monastery

The clergy of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) participated in the solemn service dedicated to the 520th anniversary of the repose of Saint Stephen the Great, reports the diocesan press service.

On July 2, 2024, the Romanian Putna Monastery celebrated the 520th anniversary of the repose of Saint Stephen the Great, whose relics rest in this holy abode.

To share in the joy with the abbot of the monastery, Archimandrite Melchisedek, and the clergy of the Romanian Orthodox Church, came the dean of the Storozhynets district, Mitred Archpriest Vasyl Kovalchuk, and priests from the diocese.

The Bukovynian clergy participated in the festive service and the celebratory events dedicated to the anniversary.

As the UOJ reported, Romanian priests participated in the celebrations at the UOC monastery in honor of Saint John the New of Suceava in Bukovyna.
