American lawyer for the UOC, Robert Amsterdam, announced on his Twitter on July 3 that a film about the unlawful persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, prepared by his law firm Amsterdam & Partners LLP, is scheduled to air on select television channels in the United States.
According to him, the film explores the urgent human rights issue in Ukraine relating to the state's unlawful persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
"It features interviews with experts and victims, including UOC soldiers risking their lives on the frontlines while their own government attacks and destroys their churches, jails their priests on false charges, and harasses worshippers to curry favor with far-right elements," Amsterdam commented on the video.
The international lawyer emphasized his commitment to defending religious freedom: "We must halt these illegal violations of human rights embodied by draft law 8371."
