The Economic Court did not accept the lawsuit of the Volodymyr-Volynskyi Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church regarding the extension of the lease term for the Holy Assumption Cathedral and the adjoining premises where the diocesan administration is located. The decision was published in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
According to the court, the filed lawsuit cannot be accepted by the Economic Court of the Volyn Region because it does not meet the requirements of the Economic Procedural Code of Ukraine. It is reported that the plaintiff needs to register an electronic account in the Unified Judicial Information and Telecommunication System or its separate subsystem (module) within 10 days and inform the court. Otherwise, the lawsuit will be considered not submitted.
As previously reported by UOJ, the Volyn Regional State Administration informed Metropolitan Volodymyr, the rector of the religious community of the Holy Assumption Cathedral of the UOC, that it would not extend the lease agreement for the free use of the shrine, which expires on July 1 of this year.
