Greek football fans support Esphigmenou

At two different stadiums in Greece, fans expressed their support for the Esphigmenou Monastery, which is preparing for a police operation to forcibly evict brethren from their premises on Mount Athos, reports rua.gr.

Fans of AEK Athens at the "Opap Arena" during a Conference League qualification match and fans of PAOK showed their support for the Esphigmenou Monastery.

The fans put up a banner reading "Hands off the true Holy Monastery of Esphigmenou," aiming to show their support for the monastery.

As reported by the UOJ, police are preparing to storm the Esphigmenou Monastery on Mount Athos.
