On the morning of July 28, the Kyiv Telegram channel 'Trukha' published a video showing a man dressed in clerical vestments performing blasphemous dance-like movements while being filmed.

"Good morning at Sofiivska Square. Is that you, Pasha Mercedes (derogative name for the abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel – Ed.)?" the caption read on the capital's public page.

In the comments, subscribers clarified that it was Mykhailivska Square and suggested that the media might be preparing another story or film, with some believing it could be about the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).

Some commenters were offended by the video. "Nothing is sacred," wrote Julia. Others found it amusing.

As the UOJ previously reported, the Olympic Organizing Committee attempted to apologize for the 'The Last Supper' parody.
