On August 4, 2024, a procession from the Ternopil Eparchy reached the Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra, reports the monastery's Telegram channel.
"In anticipation of the feast day of the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God, the pilgrims from Ternopil came to the Lavra to venerate the Most Holy Theotokos along with the monastery brethren, pilgrims, and other processional participants," the message reads.
On August 3, after the Divine Liturgy, the brethren and believers held a procession with the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God to the Transfiguration Cathedral. The service was led by the monastery's abbot, Metropolitan Volodymyr.
The icon of the Most Holy Theotokos will be in the Transfiguration Cathedral until August 5 and be returned to the Dormition Cathedral after the festive Liturgy.
As earlier reported, on August 1, the Lavra welcomed Orthodox pilgrims from Volyn.
