In Russia's Kursk region, two cathedrals of the Hornal St. Nicholas Bilohirsk Monastery, located in the Sujan district near the border with Ukraine, have been damaged as a result of hostilities, the Strana publication reported.

"There are no casualties, thank God. People are all alive. Both temples of the monastery were destroyed, the brotherhood buildings were damaged," hegumen Pitirim, the abbot of the monastery, told the press.

The destruction affected two temples, as well as living quarters of the monastery.

As reported by the UOJ, in 2023, the UOC published the number of churches in Ukraine damaged as a result of the fighting.
