On Saturday, July 24, during the Divine Liturgy in the Kazan Church in the village of Kalynivka, Metropolitan Clement (Vecheria) of Nizhyn and Pryluki awarded Fr Roman Neshcheret, who was attacked by radicals during a procession a month ago, with an epigonation and a decorated cross, reports the press service of the Nizhyn Eparchy.

Father Roman suffered at the hands of radicals on June 23 during a religious procession on the Day of St. John, Metropolitan of Chernihiv and Tobolsk. Then the aggressively minded supporters of the OCU attacked the priests and believers of the UOC. They tore off the priestly pectoral cross from Father Roman Neshcheret and desecrated the shrine.

As reported, the "hoof-bearer" from Nizhyn told the details of the provocation against the UOC.
