On August 12 and 13, the head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko, will visit Phanar on an unannounced trip, reports a pro-OCU resource.
The edition stated that, in the view of the OCU leadership, the adoption of Law 8371 will soon be followed by "the unity of Ukrainian Orthodoxy" under the formula "all hierarchs are traitors, and the parishes will come over to us".
The resource also reminded that more than a year ago, the OCU blocked the "mediation mission of the Ecumenical Patriarch for the unity of Ukrainian Orthodoxy".
"When this became known, OCU speakers, in an attempt to justify themselves, tried to portray a 'Moscow hand in the Ecumenical Patriarchate,'" wrote the 'Spiritual Front'.
They suggested that most likely, this is the scenario that "Metropolitan" Epifaniy will try to "sell" to Patriarch Bartholomew on August 12-13 "during his unannounced visit to Constantinople".
Previously, the UOJ wrote about the new project by the Ukrainian authoriyies and Phanar to resolve the highly contentious religious situation in Ukraine.
