Today, 15 August, the National Reserve finally closed the “Life-Giving Spring” Church in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra for the brethren and believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, says a message on the Telegram channel ‘Save_Lavra”.

It is reported that the monks were allowed to take personal belongings until 12:00.

“Already tomorrow the OCU will be brought in to host in our temple,” reads the message.

As reported by the UOJ, in the evening of 13 August, photos of the sealed “Life-Giving Spring” Church appeared online. The head of the National Reserve stated that the services in the temple from now on will be conducted by chaplains for the military.

On the same day, a delegation of Ukrainian officials and OCU representatives told Patriarch Bartholomew that there are no closed temples and no major or minor religions in Ukraine.
