In his congratulatory message to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine on the 10th anniversary of his enthronement, Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral noted that he is praying for an end to the suffering of the Ukrainian Church, for the Primate of the UOC, and for his flock. This was reported by the website of the UOC's Department of External Church Relations.

Metropolitan Joanikije emphasized that the Lord called His Beatitude to his high office during a very challenging time for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and its faithful.

He pointed out that Metropolitan Onuphry, like the Savior, bears his cross without complaint and with gratitude, "striving in all things to serve the attainment of eternal blessings for those who heed his voice and follow the path of salvation."

"On this significant and festive day, we pray for your health, for the end of the suffering of the Ukrainian Church, and for the well-being and spiritual success of your flock," the message reads.

As previously reported by the UOJ, His Beatitude was also congratulated on his 10th anniversary of enthronement by Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, Georgian Patriarch Ilia, and Archbishop Michael of Prague and the Czech Lands.
