On August 1, 2021, on the day of commemoration of St. Monk Seraphim of Sarov, a delegation of the Orthodox Church of Antioch headed by Patriarchal Vicar Bishop Ephrem of Seleucia visited the St. George Metochion of the St. Nicholas Convent in Horodok.
The clergy met with Bishop Pimen of Dubno, the vicar of the Rivne Eparchy of the UOC, and the sisters of the Metochion.
During the visit, representatives of the fraternal Church talked with the nuns of the monastery, asked them about the current situation in the UOC, and venerated the holy icons.
“We were asked to pray to the Orthodox Church of Antioch,” says sister Nikolaya (Chernetskaya), a nun of the St. George Metochion. "In turn, we also asked for holy prayers."
During a visit to the church of the St. George Metochion, Bishop Ephrem of the Orthodox Church of Antioch blessed the newlyweds who came to the Sacrament of the Marriage.
Representatives of the Antiochian Church, who come at the invitation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to take part in the celebrations of the Day of the Baptism of Rus’, have been in Ukraine for almost a week now.
As reported, the Patriarch of the Church of Antioch congratulated the UOC on the Day of Prince Vladimir.
