Three new metropolitans and four archbishops ordained in UOC

On August 17, 2021, on the day of the enthronement of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, a festive Divine Liturgy was held in the square in front of the Assumption Cathedral of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
During the service, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry ordained three archbishops of the UOC as metropolitans, and four bishops became archbishops, reports a UOJ correspondent.
Archbishops of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyya Seraphim, Joseph of Romny and Buryn, Theodosy of Cherkasy and Kaniv were ordained as metropolitans.
Bishops John of Zolotonosha, vicar of the Cherkasy Eparchy, Sergiy of Bolgrad, the vicar of the Odessa Eparchy, Benjamin of Novi Sanzhary, the vicar of the Poltava Eparchy, Kassian of Ivankiv, the vicar of the Kyiv Eparchy became archbishops.
As reported earlier, five new metropolitans and four archbishops appeared in the UOC.
