In Ukraine, the Phanar head will be guarded by employees of the State Security Directorate, the Security Service of Ukraine, as well as the special services of Turkey and the United States, reports the "Glavcom".
The information to the resource, concerned about the possibility of an attempt on the life of the Patriarch of Constantinople by the UOC believers, was provided by an anonymous specialist on state security issues.
He noted that the head of the Phanar can enter the Verkhovna Rada, near which the prayer standing of the UOC believers will take place, not through the door – “there are special underground passages for this”.
According to him, the guest will be guarded around the clock by employees of the State Security Administration and the Security Service of Ukraine, and in Kyiv itself "the highest level of security will be established".
“Patriarch Bartholomew is a citizen of Turkey. Consequently, the Turkish special services will look after him. And at the same time – the Americans because they have their own interests here,” the source added.
As reported, the pro-OCU media ascribe plans to assassinate the Phanar head to the NGO “Miriane”.
