The exchange of gifts took place during the meeting with the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, which took place in Kyiv on August 23 at the initiative of the head of Phanar.
The head of the UGCC expressed hope for the development of dialogue and cooperation and thanked for the gift received from the hands of the patriarch – a panagia with a commemorative inscription.
On behalf of the AUCCRO, Patriarch Bartholomew was presented with a commemorative medal made for the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Council, and on behalf of the UGCC – a set of patriarchal distinctions: a cross, an enkolpion and a panagia.
We will remind, at a meeting with the head of Phanar, Sviatoslav Shevchuk noted that the patriarch had come not only to the Orthodox.
