On Sunday, September 22, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the church of St. Agapitus of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, as reported by the lavra.ua website.
His Beatitude was concelebrated by Bishop Lavr of Irpin, Bishop Mark of Borodianka, the monastery's brethren, and visiting clergy.
After the reading of the Sunday Gospel, His Beatitude delivered a sermon, offering an explanation of the Lord’s parable of the wicked tenants.
“The Apostle Paul says that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. These are the fruits that a person, being in the Church, should bring to God,” said Metropolitan Onuphry.
During the service, special prayers were offered for peace and tranquility in our Ukrainian land, for deliverance from every enemy and adversary, and for God’s blessing upon those who have provided shelter to people forced to leave their homes.
As previously reported by the UOJ, His Beatitude Onuphry spoke about the prayer to which God always responds.
