Representatives of the Israeli police have arrived in Uman to help ensure the safety of Breslov Hasidim during Rosh Hashanah. Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, shared this on his Telegram channel.
“This year, more than 30,000 pilgrims from Israel are expected in Uman. I remind you that Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends refraining from traveling to Ukraine during the war,” the diplomat added.
This year, the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, will begin on the evening of October 2 and continue until the evening of October 4, but Hasidim have already started arriving in the city.
Ukrainian public channels are posting videos from Uman.
As previously reported by the UOJ, DESS promised to provide all necessary conditions for the Hasidic pilgrims in Uman.
