The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv on September 30 postponed the substantive hearing of the case of Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl, reports "Suspilne".
It is noted that two of the bishop's defenders filed a motion to postpone the court hearing due to health reasons.
In a comment to the publication, the lawyer of the UOC Metropolitan, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, stated that on Friday, September 27, he requested a postponement of the hearing due to his involvement in another case.
As a result, the judge decided to reschedule the hearing for October 16.
As the UOJ previously reported, on August 21, the Pechersk District Court extended the preventive measure of bail for Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl for two months. The abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra felt unwell during the session.
