The Northern Commercial Court of Appeals canceled the session that was supposed to hear the case concerning the obstruction of UOC believers' access to the churches of the Upper Lavra in the Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery.
The Lavra's lawyer, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, reported that the case would now be reviewed by the Supreme Court of Ukraine.
The date of the next court session has not yet been determined and will be announced later.
As the UOJ previously reported, the Director General of the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra", Maksym Ostapenko, stated that court proceedings between the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Lavra have been ongoing for a year without any resolution, prolonging the process and preventing any significant change in the situation.
