Court of appeal in Metropolitan Arseniy case to take place on 6 November

The Sviatohirsk Lavra informed about the date and time of the appeal court regarding the review of Metropolitan Arseniy’s case.

The message of the Sviatohirsk Lavra’s TG channel says, “on 6 November, at 11:00 a.m., the Dniprovsky Court of Appeal of Kryvyi Rih will consider the appeal of lawyers of the abbot of the Holy Dormition Sviatohirsk Lavra Metropolitan Arseniy on the decision of the Slovyansk City District Court to extend the detention of the metropolitan until mid-December.”

Metropolitan Arseniy has been held in the Dnipro pre-trial detention centre since 25 April 2024. On 15 August, the Slovyansk City District Court decided to extend the remand measure for the bishop until 13 October.

On 8 October, the Slovyansk City District Court granted the prosecutor's motion to extend Metropolitan Arseniy's detention for another 60 days.

As reported by the UOJ, the hearing in Metropolitan Arseniy's case has been postponed.
