Exhibition dedicated to 80th anniversary of UOC Primate opened in KDA

The opening of the exhibition timed to the 10th anniversary of the enthronement of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine to the ancient throne of Kyiv metropolitans and his 80th anniversary was held in the premises of the Church-Archaeological Museum, in the Kyiv Theological Schools within the framework of the assembly day, 9 November 2024, as reported by the KDAiS press-service.

With the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, the exhibition was opened by Metropolitan Meletiy of Chernivtsy and Bukovyna. Among those present were the chairman of the Education Committee at the Holy Synod of the UOC Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky and other hierarchs of the UOC.

Archimandrite Damaskin (Lebed), Head of the Museum and Academic Library, Associate Professor of the Kyiv Theological Academy, presented the exhibits.

The exhibition included part of the sacristy and personal belongings of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, including the vestments, the mitre and the mantle in which His Beatitude was enthroned; an enthronement panagia and crosses; crosiers presented by the heads of the Local Orthodox Churches; the Gospel for the 1030th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, various staff, orders, liturgical books, awards and church utensils.

As the UOJ wrote, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry has celebrated his 80th anniversary.
