On October 1, at the opening of the XIV Conference on World Politics, which is being held in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) from October 1 to October 3, 2021, Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople strongly scolded incidents of religious fanaticism and intolerance, stressing the importance of religion for the peaceful coexistence of peoples and nations, reports orthodoxtimes.com.
Addressing the audience in French, the head of the Phanar called for solidarity, openness, responsibility and joint action, highlighting the importance of dialogue as a means of resolving problems.
On the same day, Patriarch Bartholomew, accompanied by Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon and Patriarchal Deacon Barnabas Grigoriadis, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of the UAE Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Commenting on this publication, Facebook users call the head of Phanar the patriarch of the new world order. Irini Kilakos posted a comment under the news on the Orthodox Times Facebook page – "Patriarch of the NWO".
As the UOJ previously reported, the head of Phanar will meet with Pope Francis and the head of the Anglicans at the Vatican.
