At meeting in Vatican, DECR MP head calls for responsibility for the planet

On October 4, 2021, the head of the Department for External Church Relations (DECR) of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, took part in a meeting of representatives of world religions, scientists and experts on the topic "Faith and Science: Towards COP 26" in the Vatican, according to a video on the Vatican News Youtube channel.
During his speech, the hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church spoke about the position of the Russian Orthodox Church on environmental protection and called on religious leaders to take joint responsibility for the present and future of humanity, working to save the planet.
Also at the meeting, the Phanar head, Patriarch Bartholomew, spoke on behalf of the Orthodox Church.
As reported, Patriarch Bartholomew has lost his canonical consciousness, the head of the DECR MP believes.
