On October 10, during the UOC Primate’s visit to the Holy Dormition Sviatogorsk Lavra on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Donetsk diocese and the 30th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of Metropolitan Hilarion of Donetsk and Mariupol, the Primate of the UOC consecrated a monument to His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir, news.church.ua reports.
The monument reads: "To His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir of Kyiv and All Ukraine for his love from grateful brethren and pilgrims of the Sviatogorsk Lavra and from all Donbass residents."
"The Triumph of Orthodoxy in Donbass", this is how the celebrations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Donetsk diocese were commented on Facebook.
As the UOJ previously reported, His Beatitude led the festivities in Sviatogorsk to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Donetsk Eparchy.
