The TV channels of the 1 + 1 media group have begun broadcasting videos with the leaders of a number of religious organizations in Ukraine, calling for vaccination against coronavirus, reports the website coronavirus.tsn.ua.
In particular, since October 23, the media group has shown video messages from the head of the UGCC Sviatoslav Shevchuk, the mufti of the spiritual administration of Muslims of Ukraine "Ummah" Said Ismagilov, the chief rabbi of Kyiv Yonatan Markovich and the "priest" of the OCU Georgy Kovalenko. The videos are broadcast as social advertising.
The media group believes that the leaders of the Uniates, Jews, Muslims and the OCU are "listened to by millions" and that "the support of the clergy in countering the pandemic is extremely important". “In the video, clergy leaders are addressing believers, explaining why it is important to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and why it has become the No. 1 responsibility for the entire civilized world,” reports the media group.
As reported, the Ministry of Health made the UOC responsible for the low level of vaccination.
