The lawyer for the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Archpriest Mykyta Chekman, announced that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) is preparing an appeal to law enforcement regarding the culinary show by restaurateur Yevhen Klopotenko in the Refectory Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

"By the way, we are currently drafting statements to law enforcement agencies and the Commissioner for Human Rights regarding the offense to the feelings of millions of believers caused by such sacrilege!" the lawyer wrote on his Telegram channel.

As the UOJ previously reported, chef Klopotenko has apologized for the Lavra show.
