Doctors provide update on the Albanian Church Primate's health

On January 4, 2025, representatives of the Athens hospital "Evangelismos" released the first report on the health status of Archbishop Anastasios of Albania, according to orthodoxia.info.
His Beatitude was hospitalized on the evening of January 3 in Athens. According to the medical report, the Archbishop's condition is stable despite his complicated medical history.
He remains under constant supervision by a team of specialists led by Professor Anastasia Kotanidou, an expert in pulmonology and intensive care.
"His Beatitude is undergoing the necessary medical examinations and receiving appropriate medical care," the report states.
Previously, it was reported that the Primate of the Albanian Church was transported to the Athens hospital by a Greek Air Force aircraft.
